Charles F. Erlandsen passed away on 12-31-07 at 1:15 PM at Beaufort Memorial Hospital after a 3 week illness and complications from surgery. He tried very hard to recover in order to celebrate his 90th birthday with his family who adored him, however he was just too weak to continue to struggle to live. His adorable humor entertained the nursing staff and his family until the very end. His Wife, Lillian and his daughter Carol feel blessed that he is in a better place now and much more comfortable. And I know all of you would feel the same if you had been with him the last few weeks. Grandpa's wishes were cremation and arrangments have been made to have a Memorial Service in Celebration of Charles Erlandsen's Life on January 11, 2008, which would have been his 90th birthday. His son and his wife and all of his Daughters kids and grand kids will be in attendance. Services will be held at the Cartaret Methodist Church. Donations are requested in lieu of flowers in memory of Chuck to the Friends of Caroline Hospice, 11th Street, Port Royal, SC. 29935.
