We have been notified by TED GALLIGAN, grandson of our shipmate,
ROBERT L. GALLIGAN
that Robert passed away in 2009 at age 88, after a long battle with leukemia.

Robert enlisted in early 1942 and reported for duty onboard the Harry Lee in late January. He stayed with the ship
all the way up to the point immediately before the Lee assisted in the occupation of Japan.
He was honorably discharged in September of 1945.
