Pat published the Harry Lee newsletter
for many years and was instrumental in planning activities
and coordinating the meeting agenda at the
Harry Lee reunions.

Our thoughts and prayers are with
the Smith family at this difficult time.

Family and Friends will be received on Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 3-8 P.M. at the Akers Funeral Chapel, 715 Church Street, Saxton, PA and on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016 at Akers Funeral Chapel at 11:00 A.M.

LaDonna C. Smith, 86, of Eighth Street, Saxton,
died Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at OPMC Bedford
Memorial Hospital.
Born June 18, 1922, in Saxton, she was a daughter of the late Gilbert A. and Mae L. (Elder) Clapper.
She was united in marriage to Patrick L. Smith on March 16, 1946, in the Trinity Reformed Church, Saxton, by the Rev. Dr. A.C. Thompson. Mr. Smith survives at home. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Smith is survived by two

sons, Michael P. Smith and wife Robin (O'Neal), and Alan Smith and wife, Gwen (Morgan), all of Saxton; four grandchildren, Douglas A. Smith, Brent A. Smith, Patrick J. Smith and Neal M. Smith.
She is also survived by a sister, Olive "Sister" Russell, Saxton; and a special niece and nephew, Jack Russell and Jill Clawson.
Mrs. Smith was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Saxton, where she was an active member of the Mite Society, serving as treasurer for many years.
She served on the board of elections for Saxton Borough.
Mrs. Smith was a 1940 graduate of Saxton-Liberty High School. She worked as a bank teller for First National Bank and later the Penn Central National Bank for 50 years until her retirement.
Mrs. Smith enjoyed participating in card clubs and shopping. She dearly loved spending time with her family, always looking forward to family gatherings and special holidays. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 12, at the Akers Funeral Chapel, 715 Church St. , Saxton, with Pastor Jack Russell and lay minister Jill Clawson officiating. Interment will be made in the St. Luke's Cemetery, Saxton.
Friends may call at the funeral chapel from 7-9 p.m. Friday, July 11, and from 9 a.m. Saturday until the hour of service.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Smith to the Trinity United Church of Christ, 1001 Church St. Saxton, PA 16678.
