On December 18, 2006 we were notified by Steve Stroyny's friend,
Command Sergeant Major David I. Birdsey, US Army (Rtd.), that Steve had passed away.

Steve had suffered a heart attact and did not recover. Sgt. Major Birdsey also related that Steve was very proud that his name had been listed with his shipmates.

He will be missed by all who knew him.
