William Aaron Todd

two young shipmates,
who lost their lives in the "Smoke-Pot Incident"
during the invasion of Iwo Jima,
on March 1, 1945.

Stephen Salaki's cause of death was drowning,
and William Todd suffered smoke inhalation and
died days after the incident.
